An older sister shares stories with her younger sister by lamplight. I painted this for a competition on the theme "Tell Me the Stories of Jesus," and filled the room with quiet symbols of Christ's ministry — lilies and water for purity and living water, fish and wheat for his ministry, pearls for the price of discipleship, even birds and a fox for the reminder that the Son of Man had no place to lay his head.
