He was exhausted and miserable, and there was nothing particularly beautiful about the circumstance itself. But there was something about the vulnerability of the moment that stayed with me. The bath became a kind of threshold: a place of cleansing, weakness, and recovery, but also a reminder that the body can be injured and still be moving toward healing. I think much of life is like this. We are changed by what happens to us. Sometimes we are wounded, sometimes we are made unrecognizable to ourselves, and sometimes the very things we would never have chosen become part of our transformation. For me the painting holds that possibility—the hope that there can be new life after suffering, and that even in our most vulnerable condition, we are not beyond the reach of light.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Jeanette Lee Adams Art","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48579907879124,"sku":"2026-004","price":3240.0,"currency_code":"USD","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0811\/7315\/1956\/files\/2026-004_The-Bath_web.jpg?v=1788069159","url":"https:\/\/www.jeanetteleeadams.com\/products\/2026-004-the-bath","provider":"Jeanette Lee Adams Art","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
